Fixnote

Privacy policy

Your pages stay in your browser. Your reports are yours.

The short version

Fixnote works inside your browser. Your notes and screenshots stay on your computer until you export a report. We keep the minimum needed to run an account: your email, your plan, and (on Pro) the reports you choose to export, so you can download them again later. We never sell data and we run no advertising trackers.

What the extension stores on your computer

The notes you write, the screenshots you capture, the page addresses and the element details are kept in your browser’s local extension storage until you send a report or start over. Fixnote does not read or transmit page content on its own. It stays inactive on a tab until you click its icon, use its right-click menu, or press one of its shortcuts.

Why it asks to “read and change data on all websites”

Fixnote draws its note cards and capture tools on top of whatever page you are looking at, which requires this permission in Chrome. The permission is what lets it work on your own internal tools, PDFs and Claude artifacts without you configuring anything.

What we store on our servers

When you create an account we store your email address, your name if you sign in with Google, when the account was created, and your plan. When you send a report, we record that a report was sent (the project name, title, ticket count, format and date) so the Free plan’s monthly limit works. On the Pro plan we also store the exported document itself, privately in your account, so you can download it again from any computer. You can delete a report from your account at any time, and deleting your account deletes all of it.

We also record a small number of product events (for example “extension installed”, “first report sent”) tied to your account so we can see where people get stuck. These contain no page content.

Our data is hosted by Supabase (database and file storage) and Vercel (this website), both in the United States.

Payments

Purchases are processed by Polar, which acts as the merchant of record. Polar collects your email address and payment details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email address and subscription status so your plan can follow your account. We never see your card number.

This website

fixnote.app uses Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies and without identifying you across sites. No advertising trackers.

Deleting your data

Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your computer. To delete your account and everything we hold about it, email hello@fixnote.app from the address on the account and we will do it within a few days.
